The Economic Section deals with the full range of bilateral and multilateral economic issues as well as environmental, energy, resources, science and technology affairs. It works closely with the offices of the Agriculture Attaché and the Foreign Commercial Service, as well as our Consulates General in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne to implement President Obama’s National Export Initiative, to facilitate stronger economic ties between the United States and Australia, and to advance the broad array of U.S. policy objectives within its portfolio. The Foreign Commercial Service office is the first point of contact for assistance with specific commercial questions: http://www.buyusa.gov/australia/en/.
